Part of Astronaut Selection Groups
Requirement: pilots for planned Soyuz, Soyuz VI, Spiral, and Almaz flights. In 1968-1975 the VVS expected no fewer than 20 Almaz space stations, 50 military 7K-VI missions, 200 Soyuz training spacecraft flights and 400 Soyuz space transport flights.

Shcheglov Russian pilot cosmonaut, 1965-1972. Graduated from Yeisk Higher Military Pilot School, 1963 Cosmonaut training November 1965 - December 1967. Withdrawn from cosmonaut team for medical reasons. Died of lung cancer.

Khludeyev Russian engineer cosmonaut 1965-1988. Graduated from Kiev AF Academy of Engineering, 1962. Cosmonaut training November 1965 - December 1967. Worked as research scientist at the Gagarin Center. Involved in the Buran program from 1986-1988. Died of a heart attack.

Yakovlev Russian pilot cosmonaut, 1965-1973.

Fyodorov Russian pilot cosmonaut, 1965-1974. Graduated from E.N. Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School, 1963. Cosmonaut training November 1965-December 1967. Flight controller in Kaliningrad until he retired in 1992.

Kizim Ukrainian pilot cosmonaut 1965-1987. Member of first crew to fly between two space stations during a single mission. 374 cumulative days in space.

Petrushenko Ukrainian pilot cosmonaut, 1965-1973. Later worked at Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, then moved to the satellite control center in Monino until his retirement 1991.

Sarafanov Russian pilot cosmonaut 1965-1986.

Zudov Russian pilot cosmonaut 1965-1987.

Voloshin Russian pilot cosmonaut, 1965-1969.
