Afghan Air Force pilot Selected for prime crew of Soyuz TM-6, but was replaced by Mohmand. The reason was not appendicitis, as publicly given. Dauran-Ghulam (Servant of Good Fortune) was an additional name he assumed. After cosmonaut service, he returned to the Afghan Air Force, reaching the tank of Major General.
