American engineer military spaceflight engineer astronaut, 1982-1990.

Status: Inactive; Active 1982-1990. Born: 1956-11-16. Birth Place: Poughkeepsie, New York.

Bachelor of science in radiation health physics from the University of Lowell, 1978. Master of science in computer science from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, 1979. Assigned to a StarLab mission, but was injured on 16 June 1988 in a car accident in Boston (together with astronaut Puz). Resigned from active astronaut duty in September 1990. Retired from the USAF and worked later in Virginia.

Maximum sitting blood pressure of 140/90. Height between 150 and 193 cm.. 14 were selected from 63 candidates.
