A year later he began work for Vultee Nashville, and then briefly for the Bill Stout Company in Dearborn, before returning to Vultee, this time at their Downey facility. After the war Wozniak worked on the F-102 fighter and Terrier missile at Convair San Diego, before beginning work on the Atlas ICBM, again under Charlie Bossart. He worked in the Atlas Engineering Project Office until retirement in 1976. In retirement he designed, built and flew a homebuilt stagger-wing aircraft.
