Wilson, Charles 'Chuck'
American engineer. Atlas Space Booster Program Manager

Born: 1925-04-12. Birth Place: Louisville, Kentucky.

Wilson grew up in Louisville, then saw World War II service with the Army Air Force in China and Burma. After graduating from the University of Louisville in 1949, he worked for Bendix in their missile division; then was called back to Air Force active duty in 1952 during the Korean War, and assigned to the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC; and the Air Proving Ground at Eglin Field, Florida. In 1954 he was hired by Convair for its Atlas missile program. He stayed with Atlas until he retired in 1983, first as Instrumentation Design Manager for the ICBM version and then as Space Booster Program Manager.
