Wiesemann, Walter Fritz
German-American engineer. Reassigned from Luftwaffe to Peenemuende in 1941. Worked on anti-aircraft rockets, went to America with von Braun's team in 1945, working on Huntsville projects until retirement in 1970.

Born: 1920-08-30. Died: 2000-07-11. Birth Place: Germany.

German rocket technician. Wiesmann was drafted into the Luftwaffe in 1940 as a radio operator. Through a chance meeting with Klaus Riedel he was reassigned to Peenmuende, where he worked in the valve laboratory. After August 1943 he was assigned to the Flakversuchstelle, still working on rocketry projects. He went to Fort Bliss, then to Huntsville, with Von Braun's rocket team after World War II. He worked with them his entire life, until retiring from NASA in 1970.
