Whitcomb, Gordon P
British engineer, working at ESA from 1974 on spacecraft system design. Later headed ESA's Future Science Projects Office.

Gordon P. Whitcomb is a British engineer who began his career working on automatic landing systems for civilian aircraft. In 1974, he joined the European Space Research Organization to work on spacecraft system design. Currently he is head of ESA's Future Science Projects Office.
