Air-launched single-stage derivative of the Coleman Aerospace Hera ground-launched target. It supports tests of American anti-ballistic missiles. The target vehicle can be easily be flown anywhere in the world and launched at arbitrary altitudes and directions. The missile is dumped from a cradle that can be loaded in C-130 or C-17 cargo aircraft. After being slowed to a vertical attitude using a parachute, the rocket ignites and flies its mission simulating a foreign ballisitic missile.
