Sottevast
V-2 launch bunker, protected by a concrete roof 5 meters thick. Liquid oxygen would be produced at the site from air to provide the rockets with oxidizer. Construction began in October 1943. The site was bombed by the Allies in March-May 1944 and captured by the Americans on 21 June 1944. In a very incomplete state, it never ranked on the target lists with the other V-2 bunkers at Watten and Wizernes.

The site had a length of 92 m, width 75 m, and height of 28 m. The side walls were 4.5 m thick. Between February and May 1944 , the area was attacked ten times by a total of 261 bombs totalling 600 tons. Sottevast was still far from completion on D-Day and was overrun by the Americans on 21 June 1944 .
