Italian physicist payload specialist astronaut, 1984-1986.

Status: Deceased; Active 1984-1986. Born: 1940-02-01. Died: 2015-05-06. Birth Place: Venice.

Master of Science in Physics from the University of Milan; Professor; Payload Specialist for the Italian TSS-Project. On 1 October 1989, Rossitto became the first European Astronaut Centre staff member in Cologne. He was Head of the Astronaut Division in temporary offices provided by the DLR. He was acting head of the EAC until his departure in March 1995.
