American manned space station. Study 1974. NASA carried out a number of space station studies while the Shuttle was being developed in the mid-1970s.
Status: Study 1974.
The first was McDonnell-Douglas' Manned Orbiting Facility (MOF) , a small 4-man space station that would have been configured differently for various missions, much like the Soviet Salyut stations.
