Born: 1925.

Entered the Soviet Army in December 1942, finishing automotive school. In 1945 and 1949 trained in higher officer's automotive academies. In 1958 obtained a degree in logistics and transport. In 1967 assigned to 4 NII MO research institute to specialize in solid rocket development. In 1968 organized a filial of 4 NII concentrating on spacecraft control.
