Operated R-14 missiles from 8 pads and 3 silos 1962-1978. One batallion sailed for Cuba in 1962 but was turned back by the American blockade and resumed operations in Smorgon on its return. Operated 9 Pioner launchers 1981-1989. Transferred to Novosibirsk and operated 9 Topol' launchers from 1993.
