Established just before World War II as a technical training center, in February 1958 this Air Training Command facility began providing operational and maintenance crew training for the Atlas and Titan ICBM programs. The Atlas/Titan I training facility was dedicated in November 1959. During the early 1960s, Titan II training facilities were installed. Titan II missile crews trained at these facilities for the next two decades.
