Site for a Bomarc installation; cancelled when nearly complete in 1960.

This site was selected to receive a BOMARC air defense missile installation. The Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District handled site acquisition, conducted feasibility studies and ground surveys, and designed the needed facilities. The Air Force decided to halt work on the nearly completed site in 1960 after a decision to dramatically scale back the BOMARC program.
