LF2/LLi
LF2/LLi propellant. Liquid Lithium was a high energy fuel demonstrated with LF2 in the early 1960's. Lithium had to be heated to 179 deg C to be in a liquid state. However although test engines were built, this combination was found to be just too toxic and reactive to be safely used as a propellant.
Specific impulse: 458 s.
Propellant Formulations: LF2/LLi or LF2+30%LH2/LLi. Temperature of Combustion: 2,200 deg K. Oxidizer Density: 1.510 g/cc. Oxidizer Density: 1.510 g/cc. Oxidizer Freezing Point: -219 deg C. Oxidizer Boiling Point: -188 deg C. Fuel Density: 6.940 g/cc. Fuel Boiling Point: 180 deg C.
