Jungert, Wilhelm
German engineer in WW2, member of the German rocket team, went to America with the first group of seven, but returned to Germany a year later.
Birth Place: Germany.
He was first sent to Fort Strong, New York, on 20 September 1945, then on to the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. After helping to process and sort out captured German rocketry documents, he was sent on to Fort Bliss by the end of 1945. He was sent back to Germany in August 1946 after he crossed into Mexico with Bruno Helm despite being instructed not to do so.
