Gerbert Aleksandrovich Yefremov Russian Engineer. Born 15 March 1933. Chief Designer, Chelomei design bureau, 1971-2000

Personal: Male. Born in Russia.

Began work at Chelomei's bureau on naval cruise missiles, then played key role in design of Polyot ASAT prototype and naval radarsats. As Deputy General Designer of 1971-1984 of Chelomei design bureau, managed design and development of the Almaz and TKS space stations and the modules of the Mir station. Succeeded Chelomei 1984 and continued to the end of the millenium.
