Personal: Male. Born in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Civilian Graduated from School of Theater, Astrakhan, 1970 Actor in several theaters and in more than 50 movies.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Energia Engineer Group 14 Supplemental - 1998. Inactive Entered space service: December 1997. Left space service: 15 March 2000. Selected as a commercial guest cosmonaut to work for a movie to be filmed aboard the Mir space station. Cosmonaut training 1999-2000. However the producers couldn't come up with the total fee for the flight, and the mission was canceled in March 2000.
