Nail Sharipovich Sattarov Russian Pilot Cosmonaut. Born 23 December 1941.

Personal: Male. Born in Kabakovskiy, Karmasalinski, Bashkiria, Russia. Soviet Air Force Graduated from Higher Air Force School, Orenburg and from Akhtubinsk Higher Military Air School of Pilots, 1965 and 1973 respectively Soviet Air Force. Soviet Air Force Test pilot with more than 7000 hours of flight time.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Buran Group 1 - 1978. Inactive Entered space service: January 1979. Left space service: November 1980. Cosmonaut training January 1979 - November 1980. Buran Test Pilot, Removed for violations of testing discipline, 1980.

Civilian test pilot.

Sattarov Chronology

1 December 1978 - Buran Cosmonaut Training Group 1 selected.. Experienced test pilots were selected to train for manned missions using the Buran space shuttle.
