Stefano Santonico Italian PSP Cosmonaut. Born 2 January 1948.

Personal: Male. Italian Air Force Master's degree in aeronautical engineering from the Aeronautical Academy in Italy. Italian Air Force Engineering test pilot at Pratica di Mare Air Base.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Italian Space Agency Group - 1990. Inactive Entered space service: 1990. Left space service: 1993. Candidate from Italy for a Shuttle mission.

Resigned from the Air Force as a Major in 1981. Later became director of a company in Rome that manufactures and distributes electronic products.

Santonico Chronology

1 May 1989 - Italian Space Agency Astronaut Training Group selected.. Italian astronauts trained for flights to the Mir space station.
