Thomas Digges British Scientist. Born 1576. Died 1576.

Thomas Digges was an astronomer and mathematician who modified Dante's medieval conceptions of the universe in his Description of the Caelestiall Orbes (1576), adopting a Copernican view that placed the Sun in the centre of the universe.
