Austrian engineer cosmonaut 1989-1991. First Austrian astronaut.

Electrical engineer. One of five Austrian candidates in 1992 ESA selection. He made the short list of 25 candidates, but was not selected in 1992 and 1998. Assistant professor at University of Vienna. Then became Rockwell International's Austrian representative. From April 1997, Director of International Programs at Boeing North American pace Systems Division in Downey, California. From July 1999 Boeing International, Vienna. From 1 September 2002 worked for an Austrian company.
