TAL-38 HAL effect thruster

TsNIIMash electric/xenon rocket engine. Development. Hall effect thruster with anode layer. Export version of D-38, developed under NASA contract for satellite station-keeping and attitude control. Taken to engineering model stage.
Thrust 2.5 to 8 mN, power requirement 0.4 to 1.0 kW, specific impulse 1300-2500 seconds, efficiency 45%.
Electrical Input Power: 1.00 kW.
