Yashin

Yuri Alekseyevich Yashin Russian Military Officer. Born 1930. Chief of Plesetak Cosmodrome from 1975.

Personal: Male. Born in Russia.

General of the Army. From 1950-1965 served in antiaircraft forces, then from 1965-1973 in the rocket forces. In 1973 named Deputy Chief of GUVRO for research and development. In 1975 named chief of the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. Thereafter returned to the rocket forces, becoming first Deputy of the High Command of the Rocket Forces, and in 1989 Deputy Minister of Defence of the USSR.
