Personal: Male. Born in Moscow, Russia. Zvezda Design Bureau Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute with an engineering diploma, 1982 Civilian Engineer, Zvezda NPO.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Zvezda Engineer Group - 1990. Inactive Entered space service: 11 May 1990. Left space service: 1995. Cosmonaut training 1 October 1990 - 6 March 1992.

Left cosmonaut corps when RKK Energia refused to include him in their cosmonaut cadre in post-Soviet downsizeing.
