Personal: Male. Born in Moscow, Moscow, Russia. Korolev Design Bureau Graduated from Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, 1989 with an engineering degree Civilian Engineer, NPO Energia . Worked until 1993 for NPO IT, Korolev, then for the head design bureau within RKK Energia.

Astronaut Group: Energia Engineer Group 13 - 1996. Active Entered space service: 9 February 1996. Cosmonaut training 3 June 1996 - 17 June 1998.
