Personal: Male, Married, four children. Born in Samarsku, Russia. Crash of Yak-38 VTOL fighter during takeoff from aircraft carrier Minsk in the South China Sea. Civilian Graduated from Zhukovsky Air Force Institute, 1975 Civilian test pilot.
